Group Compositions & Guidelines

  • Groups must have a minimum of four (4) members and may have a maximum of sixteen (16).

    • Minimum of four (4) up to eight (8) of these members can be vocalists

    • Each group is allowed up to eight (8) staff-only members (non-vocalists)

  • Group names and individual aliases must remain PG-13, as this is a learning establishment.

  • Each member is required to have a valid social media link in order to enroll (i.e. YouTube, Twitter, Soundcloud, etc.)

  • Anon members and groups are permitted. However, you MUST notify our staff of your identities.

Roster Changes & Member Passes

  • Registered teams are allowed to freely change their roster at anytime! No limited changes or member passes!

  • Please request a roster change through DMs on Twitter or through our "inquiries" section on Discord!

Song Guidelines

​

  • Songs must be a minimum of 2:30 in length and may be up to a maximum of 6:30. 

  • All languages are permitted 

    • Please provide an English translation of the song. 

  • All genres of music are permitted and welcomed!

    • Creation of Original songs are permitted

    • Please be cautious of copyright strikes and/or producers who do not allow covers of their work. 

    • If your entry does get copyrighted, please notify our staff ASAP. 

  • The Creation & Use of Translyrics are allowed with credit/permission from the writer. 

  • The use of artificial vocals and/or harmonies is prohibited. 

  • ​The use of AI is prohibited.

    • Violations will result in a heavy score penalty and/or disqualification.

Entry Guidelines 

  • All entries are to be labeled and uploaded as 【KACBY2-R#】Song Title 【Group Name】

  • You will be asked to provide the proper links​:

    • Alternative Video​

    • Mix Files:​

      • MASTERED Mix (.wav, additional .mp3 file is optional)

      • Acapella Mix (.wav or .mp3)

    • Art/Drawn Assets

    • English Translation

    • Third Party Assets (not made by you)

    • Group Script

    • Theme Interpretation

  • All proper credits must be provided.

    • You MUST include proper names, titles, and social links.

Grace Period

​

  • There will be a 1 day (24 Hours) Grace Period at the end of each round. 

  • You will lose 1 point per hour for every hour into Grace Period.

  • Each team is granted a single 8 hour Grace Period Pass with no point deduction.

  • [For Rending ONLY] If for any reason a render time exceeds Grace Period Hours, you must:​

    • ​Take a screenshot of when the render started (if possible) & it's current render status

    • Submit the screenshot to KawaakariAcademy's Twitter DMs 8 hours before the end of Grace Period

The following is a list of STRICTLY PROHIBITED actions and items:

​

  • Joining more than one group at once.

  • Traced/Plagiarized Art 

    • The inability to provide a proper and complete list of third-party assets may count as plagiarism.

  • Bullying/harassing other individuals or groups.

  • The use of artificial vocals to replace a vocalist or to fill in the space.

  • The use of AI for any means.

Violations are subject to the immediate expulsion of

the individual(s) or group(s) involved.
